To the untrained eye, a wooden cargo truck looks like a simple assembly of timber planks. In reality, it is a highly engineered structure where chemistry, metallurgy, and carpentry meet to ensure safety on the highway.

  1. The Steel Sub-Frame Foundation

    A great wooden cargo body always starts with steel. We engineer a heavy-duty steel sub-frame that bolts directly to your truck chassis. This provides a rigid, unyielding base that handles the twisting forces of the vehicle, while the timber built on top provides the flexibility needed to support the cargo.

  2. Sourcing the Right Species of Hardwood

    We do not use standard wood. Commercial cargo bodies require specialized, high-density tropical hardwoods like Balau, Resak, or Kempas. These species feature tightly packed grain structures that naturally resist water penetration, heavy impacts, and scratching.

  3. Integrated Steel Tie-Downs and U-Bolts

    Safety relies entirely on how well the body stays attached to the truck and how well the load stays attached to the body. We integrate high-tensile steel U-bolts to secure the wooden frame to the chassis. Additionally, we flush-mount heavy-duty D-rings directly into the solid timber supports, giving drivers bulletproof anchor points to secure ropes and strapping chains.
